Massage is an art affecting all parts of our being including the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical body.

Swedish Massage is a classic massage treatment, the most common in the west. The main purpose is to increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. It involves the manipulation of body tissues for therapeutic purposes using kneading, stretching, stroking and wringing of the bodys muscles and tissues.

A range of strokes are used including petrissage, friction, effleurage, tapotement and vibration.

It can be slow and deep or vigorous and stimulating or a combination of both, offering welcomed relief from the effects of physical or mental stress. It releases tension, breaks up adhesions (muscle knots) and promotes relaxation.
