The Peace Foundation Network has a long history of work in schools and a number of very positive evaluations have been completed over the years including ones from Sheffield University, The Department of Health and Related Research and Lancaster University (primary pupils) and a community psychologist (secondary pupils). A Longitudinal evaluation has also been completed again with very positive results.
In the Sheffield area over 20 schools have participated; many on an annual basis.
The Peace Foundation Network Schools Programmes are based on the "Juniper" Programme. Its author David Keith has continued developing peace education in schools as far afield as Scotland and has written a book on the benefits of this work.
