Teacher Training

Training is offered to school staff through national training days, INSET sessions and through participation in the programmes.

INSET Training

A programme of personal and professional development
The increasing demands of modern life can lead to significant stress for lecturers, teachers and young people. The Peace Foundation Network has been working for several years with pupils, staff and students bringing simple self help techniques that can transform pupils' lives.

The programme offers a number of effective techniques and strategies to increase personal health and well being, to achieve inner calm, to shift negative attitudes and improve relationships. These can be used on a personal basis, to support individual students in need, or for group training.

Techniques taught include

  • Full body relaxation
  • Meditation
  • The use of breath to change emotions
  • Visualisation
  • The value of recognising positive qualities
  • The use of affirmations to turn around negative situations

Peace Foundation Network has offered training for teaching staff in both primary and secondary schools including provided courses for the Sheffield City Achievement Plan, and INSET days.
